Field Trip, Garlic, Fall, & Party

The kids and I had a field trip to the Fremont PD a few weeks ago that was really fun. They were able to actually get into a cop car and hear the LOUD siren. We were also able to see Auntie Teresa who works there (always a joy to see her smiling face:):)

We have a spot in our back yard that is a perfect spot for a garden. It is a little fenced area that is even hooked up with sprinklers. We didn't get a garden planted in the spring/summer, but we decided that we would see what kinds of things you could grow in the winter......and we found one....GARLIC! So, the kids and Charley planted some garlic plants. They are actually growing and doing pretty good.

For one of the boys math lessons, we had to find a tree that changes with the seasons (i.e. colors, etc.) Our trees in our yard don't really change colors, but I was seeing red leaves on my front lawn so I knew that there must be one in our area. I found it! OOOHHHH! Look at those colors! Gorgeous! I love Fall. I think it is my new favorite season:)

On Sunday we surprised the Robertsons with a 25th Anniversary surprise party at our house. The Robertson kids put the whole thing together....you did a great job guys!! The whole church was invited so, needless to say, we had a lot of people in our house. I think there was between 65-70 people that came. And.....they were actually surprised! They had no incling that anything was happening.

Happy 25th Anniversary Don and Krista!

May the Lord bless you with many, many more years to serve Him together.

Well, that's it....I think I'm fully caught up on my blogging....at least until this next weekend:):)

Great is His Faithfulness

Life has been so crazy-busy lately that my blogging has taken a back seat. I will try to get up to date but it might take a few days. Yesterday I was mulling over the verses, "It is of the LORD's mercies that we are not consumed, because his compassions fail not. They are new every morning: great is thy faithfulness." Just a few examples of His faithfulness in my life lately...not really big things, but they are big to me:) I like to go clothes shopping but I just really don't have a lot of time to do that. When I go, more often than not, I am discouraged by the lack of clothes that actually fit right. A friend came up to me a few weeks ago and asked if I would like to try on some clothes that she was getting rid of. Always willing to try......and they fit! It was like Christmas in my house the day I tried them on. Then a few weeks later, this same friend handed me a few more bags with MORE clothes, this time they were winter clothes (the first batch was more summer clothes). The Lord is so good! Most of them fit great! FAITHFULNESS #1. FAITHFULNESS #2 was seen yesterday. Anna's birthday is coming up so I wanted to go through my boxes of 4T clothes to see what she has and what I should tell people as ideas for her birthday. 4T was a "good" year with my older girls, I guess, because we have boxes and boxes of clothes for that size! She not only has all of her winter wardrobe, but has an over abundance. The Lord has sure been good to us. He has provided us with "above all that we could ask or think." Sorry for the rambling....it was just neat to see the Lord's hand in even the clothes that we wear.
More to come......
